Lake Bogoria is one of the hidden gems for birdwatchers. No matter the season, you’re guaranteed to see some amazing bird species and, if you’re lucky, you might spot a rare species of antelope, the greater kudu. On the lake’s shoreline, there are thousands of bird species and geyser hot springs that erupt unexpectedly.
Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Bogoria
Drive westwards past Nakuru Town. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by a visit to the hot springs. Visitors to Lake Bogoria can marvel at the hot springs and even cook eggs or maize. There’s plenty of birdlife and game to see, and you might catch a glimpse of greater kudu and a high population of flamingos. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort.

Day 2: Bogoria National Park
After breakfast, embark on a game drive at Lake Bogoria National Reserve. The reserve is also home to greater kudu and a host of other savannah wildlife.
